Profhilo at Allure
When your skin is asking for more hydration and support, Profhilo is one of the treatments Dr Monica Pais offers at Allure Face & Smile. It’s an injectable hyaluronic acid treatment designed to improve skin hydration, firmness and overall skin quality.
Skin quality, not structural change.
How Profhilo works
Profhilo contains a high concentration of hyaluronic acid. Unlike dermal filler, it spreads evenly beneath the skin rather than sitting in one place, and is designed to stimulate the skin’s own collagen and elastin over time. It’s used on the:
-
Face
-
Neck
-
Neck
Individual results vary and can’t be guaranteed. Dr Pais will explain what Profhilo can and can’t achieve for you.

Who tends to ask about Profhilo
It’s often chosen by patients noticing early skin laxity or dullness who aren’t looking for the structural change that comes with filler. It can sit alongside other treatments as part of a wider skin plan, but Dr Pais only recommends combining treatments where it’s clinically appropriate.

Planning your treatment course
A short course, then maintenance.
Profhilo is usually given as a short course spaced a few weeks apart, followed by maintenance sessions tailored to your skin.
It’s injected at a small number of points. Small bumps at injection sites typically settle within a day or so, and mild swelling, redness or bruising is possible. Dr Pais provides full aftercare advice.
Frequently asked questions
1. How is Profhilo different from dermal fillers?
Profhilo is designed to spread through the skin to improve hydration and stimulate collagen through a bioremodelling effect, rather than adding structural volume to a specific area in the way traditional dermal fillers do.
2. How many sessions of Profhilo will I need?
Profhilo is usually given as a short initial course, followed by maintenance treatments. Dr Pais will recommend a schedule based on your individual skin during consultation.
3. Does Profhilo hurt?
Some discomfort during injection is common, though this varies between individuals. Dr Pais can discuss comfort options with you beforehand.
4. When will I see results?
Improvements in skin hydration and texture typically develop gradually over the weeks following treatment, though this varies between individuals and is not guaranteed.
5. Is there any downtime after Profhilo?
Most patients return to normal activities the same day, though small bumps at injection sites and mild swelling or bruising are possible in the short term.
6. Who isn’t suitable for Profhilo?
Certain people, including those who are pregnant or breastfeeding, or with particular allergies or medical conditions, may not be suitable candidates. This is assessed individually during consultation.
7. Can Profhilo be combined with other treatments?
In some cases, yes, but this depends on your individual skin and goals. Dr Pais will only recommend combining treatments where it’s clinically appropriate.
8. How do I arrange a consultation?
You can contact the clinic by phone, email or WhatsApp, or book online, to arrange a private consultation with Dr Pais.
